Become A Ministry Partner
Pray. Join the movement. Tell the Story.
1 Peter 4:10 “Each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as
good stewards of God’s varied grace:”
Join the global orality movement that is spreading God’s love and forgiveness through storytelling the Gospel! Scriptures in Use has many opportunities to get involved and use your God given gifts in ministry. We welcome you to check out the opportunities to serve at SIU as a training missionary, administrative support personnel or volunteer team member. We are also looking for individuals, churches and ministry partners to come alongside SIU to pray, support, and share the storytelling strategy with others within their own communities.
International Training Missionary
SIU Training Missionary
We would love you to join our missionary team! If you have a heart to serve God and a willingness to travel and
share God’s Word, we would like you to consider becoming a Bridges Trainer or Bridges for Women Trainer.
As a SIU Bridges Trainer or Bridges for Women Trainer, you will work with international partner ministries and national leaders to train the “Bridges” oral training strategy and develop disciple-making movements. As Christ entrusted his disciples, we must also entrust and train others so that they will also be qualified to teach others. 2 Timothy 2:2
Scriptures in Use is an interdenominational mission that is committed to share the Gospel throughout the world through traditional oral arts in order to evangelize, disciple and plant churches. We believe that one proven method of doing God’s Will to make disciples of all nations is to follow Christ’s example of telling stories and parables. Scriptures in Use specializes in training non-western oral learners through an Oral Bible (a collection of stories from the Bible that are told face-to-face and memorized).
The SIU Bridges Training Missionary works with our partners through international field trainings, face to face meetings, email, and telephone and Skype technologies. SIU Training Missionaries reside in the Greater Tucson AZ area and take short-term trips of 2 to 3 week durations with an average of 5 to 6 international trips per year. Consistent follow up and coaching of SIU partners is required to insure the successful implementation of the Bridges Training strategies and involves training, evaluating, selecting and engaging prospective overseas national partners for ongoing training, coaching and mentoring of emerging leaders.
The first step to becoming a Bridges Training Missionary is to complete Bridges Online. We believe that understanding the Bridges Training strategy is imperative before moving forward. Once you have completed the training and feel called to learn more about our organization and your prospective “fit” with SIU, please complete the Getting to Know You form. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us.
SIU could never exist without the power of prayer! If your gifting is prayer, then we have a job for you! We need prayer for our trainers, our staff, our international partners, our training events, and so much more. Please contact us to be part of our prayer team.
We send out our missionaries 2 by 2, but sometimes SIU needs a few good trainers to fill in on international trips to make that happen. If you have a passion to train Bridges and travel, but have limited time or can’t commit to being a full time missionary, we still want you to join with us! SIU associates are needed to bridge the gap by attending 1-2 trips each year. We provide training and we will do all the preparations and planning, but do ask our associates to raise minimum support for travel expenses and be ready to train and love our international trainers.
Are you a pastor, missions director or small group leader in Arizona looking to partner with international missions, but don’t know how or where to start? We can help! Our missionaries at Scriptures in Use would love to speak with your church, missions committee or small group about engaging the unreached through orality. SIU would not be able answer the call to mission work without the support and prayers of individuals and churches to come alongside our missionaries!
SIU is looking for diverse and engaged leaders to serve as volunteer board members to provide leadership, governance, and oversight to our ministry. You must be willing to devote your time, talent, and treasure to this growing organization to help further our mission to reach the unreached in all nations. We’re especially looking for individuals with prior church/ministry experience, financial/communications/marketing background, donor development or previous board experience.

The International Orality Network is an affiliation of agencies and organizations working together with the common goal of making God’s Word available to oral learners in culturally appropriate ways that enable church planting movements everywhere. The International Orality Network is part of the Lausanne Movement and grew out of the Lausanne Committee for World Evangelism in 2004. ION has since grown to be a global network of over 2,000 organizations.
